If you are using my audio mods, or not, here is a couple of suggestions.
In the past I have used or at least tried Gnomefeather’s Engine and Gun sound mods. They work fine with Grandpa’s Audio Mods, but the engines were a little too overpowering for me. My favorite were the Noble Platoon engine sounds, but they stopped working somewhere around 0.8.6 or so.
For the last week or so I have been using TisBACK’s Historical Engine and Gun Sounds Mod amd really like it. You get that deep thraoted sound of Mayback, Allison, and Continental engines and the gun sounds are great. Just install if over the Grandpa’s Audio Mod.
Another suggestion is one that the author asked me to host here. The Big Packs of WWII Propaganda I use the hangar.fev and hangar.fsb files. Just load them into the res_mods/x.x.x/audio folder after installing Grandpa’s Audio Mod. They are BIG files, but in teh hangar you get lots of 1940’s radio shows and music.
And yet still.. Tisback has not updated for 0.9.3 yet. So while waiting I tried WWII Historical Sounds and they are great. I use the engines, guns, hits, and traverse sounds along with my Favorite Sounds. Need to adjust the volume and tone down the engine sounds, but the hist, guns, and traverse are excellent.
