This is one of the largest state parks in the system. The campsites are well alid out and offer some privacy. Many are alrge enough for a camper and a tent. Lots to do and heavily visited during the summer. Make reservations early. Additionally, it is close to Newport, OR, one of the large seaside towns.

One rustic yurt, site A-30, is pet friendly during a one-year pilot project. To reserve for stays starting May 1, 2009, call 1-800-452-5687. An extra fee of $10 per night will be charged. A limit of two pets will be in effect. “Pets” are defined as dogs or cats.
